Visit of the Japanese Budo Master Masayuki Shimabokuru, Hanshi and the first sho-dan exam at “Kobukai” school of old martial arts.

The 15th of january was the day that Raymond Luijks did the last part of the exam for sho-dan black belt.
To complete the exam this was the hardest part. The meaning of the test is 100 times a minute free fight against fellow students of “Kobukai”. After 114 minutes the test was finished and so also the exam. Raymons Luijks is therefor the first student of “Kobukai”, after the restart in 1999 to become sho-dan. Raymond we congratulate you again with the result.

At the and of january there was the visit “Kobukai” looked out for. Masayuki Shimabokuru, Hanshi the next Japanese Budo master in i.e. Iai-jutsu, Karate, Jodo, Ken-Jitsu en batto-ho came to visite the Netherlands. “Kobukai” invited Masayuki Shimabokuru, Hanshi with the help of a few sponsors. The sponsors are: Vader Makelaardij, Niels Van Elzakker, Pack2Pack Halsteren and House of art, Budo and consience.

Masayuki Shimabokuru, Hanshi teached the students, gasts and sensei of “Kobukai”different martial arts for a period of 4 days. Although this was the first time that “Kobukai” organized such an event, there was a large interest. Even from Belgium there were a number of participants. “Kobukai” decided that this will not be the last event that it will organize.
